BEST PATRIOTIC PALLET PAINTING CONTEST

Show off your artistic talents and transform an ordinary pallet into a patriotic work of art! Create a painted design on a wooden pallet celebrating America, freedom, community, or our nation's 250th Anniversary. Completed pallets will be displayed throughout the fairgrounds and voted on by fair attendees during fair week. Pallets must be dropped off by Tuesday August 18th by 6:00 PM for display and judging. Gather your paintbrushes and let your creativity shine while helping decorate the fairgrounds with patriotic pride!
BEST APPLE PIE CONTEST- AUGUST 20TH - 10AM (Office Building)

What's more iconic than a homemade apple pie? Put your baking skills to the test in our Best Apple Pie Contest! Whether your recipe has been passed down through generations or is your own award-winning creation, we want to taste it. Entries will be judged on flavor, texture, appearance, and overall appeal. Please bring your entire pie and recipe list for judging. No pre-registration is required.

Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary with your sweetest patriotic creation! Decorate cookies using red, white, and blue themes, stars, stripes, flags, or other patriotic designs and bring your decorated cookie to the Fair Office for judging. Whether you're an experienced baker or simply enjoy getting creative in the kitchen, this contest is a fun way to showcase your decorating talents. Entries will be judged on creativity, appearance, and overall presentation. Please bring 6 decorated cookies and recipe list for judging. No pre-registration is required.
DIAPER DERBY CONTEST - AUGUST 21ST - 11:30am (EnteRTAINMENT SHELTER)
Ready, set, crawl! The Diaper Derby is one of the fair's cutest competitions. Babies will race (or crawl!) their way to the finish line while family and friends cheer them on. Parents are encouraged to bring their little speedsters for a fun-filled event that is sure to create lasting memories and plenty of smiles. Age divisions are 0-11months, 12-15months, and 16-24 months. Registration will be 20 - 30 minutes before crawl times.
lego contest - august 22ND - 11:30AM (Entertainment shelter)

Calling all Lego enthusiasts! The Lego Contest welcomes participants of all ages to showcase their creativity and engineering prowess. There will be two classes for entries: stationary and moving. Bring your completed items to the Entertainment Shelter, where judging will begin promptly at 11:30am. Let your Lego masterpiece shine! No pre-registration is required.
DRESS YOUR ANIMAL CONTEST - AUGUST 22ND - 1PM (Krech Arena)

Get creative and show off your animal's personality in the Dress Your Animal Contest! Participants are encouraged to costume and decorate their animals in fun, family-friendly themes. This year's patriotic fair theme makes stars, stripes, and American pride especially welcome. Judging will be based on creativity, originality, presentation, and audience appeal. Outside animals are allowed to be brought in for the contest only. No pre-registration is required.
BEST MACARONI AND CHEESE DISH- AUGUST 23RD - 10AM (Office Building)

America's favorite comfort food takes center stage! Whether your recipe is creamy and classic, loaded with unique ingredients, or baked to golden perfection, we want to taste your best macaroni and cheese dish. Entries will be judged on flavor, texture, appearance, and originality. Bring your cheesiest masterpiece and compete for bragging rights as the fair's Mac & Cheese Champion! Please bring in a crockpot of your dish or casserole and the recipe list for judging. No pre-registration is required.
KIDS COLORING CONTEST 2026
All entries must be received at the Fair Office by 3pm, Friday August 21st, 2026. There will be three age groups: Under 4 years; 5-9 years; 10-15 years; Only ONE entry per person. Winners will be announced on Saturday, August 22nd and posted by the Fair Office and contacted by the number listed on the color sheet.
If you would like to pick up your child's coloring sheet, please come to the fair office before Noon on Sunday August 23rd, 2026.
