Livestock must be in place by 1 p.m. Thursday, August 14th. Judging on Thursday, after the 4-H beef show.
$5.00 electrical fee will be charged for each fan used.
Grand and Reserve Champion ribbons awarded to best male and female in each breed where judge feels award is deserving. A herdsmanship award will be given.
Cows with calves on foot will be judged as follows: Cow 75%, Calf 25%.
Two animals in one lot may be shown by one exhibitor except only one group entry per person for lots 17, 18 and 19. Steers may be used in group entries.

DEPARTMENT 3 - DAIRY CATTLE

Livestock must be in place by 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 16th.
$5.00 electrical fee will be collected for each fan used.
Grand and Reserve Champion, as well as Junior and Reserve Junior Champion, will be awarded ribbons to the best female of each breed. A herdsmanship award will be given.
Two animals in the same lot may be shown by one exhibitor except only one group entry per exhibitor (Lots 15-19). Purebred and grade identified cattle may be exhibited.
A Supreme and Reserve Supreme Champion will be chosen from the Junior and Senior Champions of all breeds. The Supreme Champion will be awarded $100 and the Reserve Supreme Champion will be awarded $50.
All dairy exhibitors using the milking parlor will be required to donate their milk money to a special fund used to upgrade and maintain the milking parlor. This fund will also pay the premiums for Supreme and Reserve Supreme Champions.
There will be a Little Britches Class for children 8 and under sponsored by the Holstein Club. Junior calves 3/1/08 to 5/31/08 are to be shown in this class, which may be also shown in open class competition by another exhibitor. All breeds, no pre-registration necessary. Awards provided by Holstein Club.

DEPARTMENT 5 - POULTRY AND PIGEONS

Entries limited to 25 birds per family pen entry. Exhibitors must furnish their own padlock for cages. Exhibitors are responsible for the care of their birds. Pigeons entered at exhibitor's risk-they do fly. Grand and Reserve will be given to best male and female chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys.
All poultry not entered in proper class will be disqualified. The New American Standard of Perfection will govern the judge in all varieties recognized therein.
Entries in all poultry classes shall consist of single specimens and trios. Trios shall consist of one male and two females of the same variety. Single entries are not permitted to enter trios.
All birds will be judged by comparison.
Poultry, pigeons and eggs must be in by noon on Wednesday, August 13th for judging.

Grand and Reserve Champion ribbons awarded to the best male and female over all breeds. Grand Champion ribbon awarded to best Market Class.
• Purebred rabbits are those which have a three-generation pedigree showing the ancestral background being of all the same breed, making it eligible for registration.
• All breeds recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association are eligible. Rabbits will be judged according to ARBA standards.
• Each rabbit must be permanently tattooed in the left ear for identification purposes and ID number recorded on tag.
• No limit on the number of rabbits shown in each lot as long as each rabbit is a different breed.
• Exhibitors are responsible for the care of their rabbits.
CLASS A: Small Breeds (4 Class)
Small rabbit breeds include Dutch, Holland Lop, Jersey Wooly, Mini Lop, American Fuzzy Lop, American Sable, Dwarf Hotot, English Angora, French Angora, Satin Angora, Belgian Hare, Britannia Petite, Standard Chinchilla, English Spot, Florida White, Harlequin, Havana, Himalayan, Lilac, Rhinelander, Silver, Silver Marten and Tan.
CLASS B: Large Breeds (6 Class)
Large rabbit breeds include New Zealand, Satin, American Giant Angora, Bevern, California, Champagne Dargent, Checkered Giant, American Chinchilla, Giant Chinchilla, Cinnamon, Creme Dargent, Flemish Giant, Hotot, English Lop, Palomino and Silver Fox.
CLASS C: Market Rabbit
• Can be purebred or crossbred.
• Pen of three have to be the same breed and variety. <69 days old, 3-5#
CLASS D: General Rabbit
Can be crossbred. Judged on care and condition.
CLASS E: FUR
Only rabbits that have been shown may enter this class. Champion ribbon awarded.
